Friday 4 October 2013

Couldn't post yesterday due to some activities that are to be done for an event that I am organizing in my college.

So Yesterday i had the privilege to read the book "The Fifth Mountain" by Paulo Coelho.

I have put myself a target to complete all the Paulo Coelho novels before October 11th, 2013. That's a week form today.

Coming to the book, the book is based on a concept "Can Faith triumph over suffering?". It starts with two people discussing about the fate that lies in front of them. Elijah was a prophet who is not accepted by his own country and goes out to the country of Akbar, called by it's inhabitants. There he meets a widow and her son and falls in love with her. Akbar is a nation which is constantly fears war. And when war broke out, the widow dies and Akbar is destroyed. The hope that is created in him to re-build Akbar gives a very meaningful message  to the reader

Elijah climbs the fifth mountain and is not slayed by the fire of heaven. Instead he gets to talk to an angel telling him the advices of God.

This book is good, in term of reading and message-giving.

Worth to-be-read.

Guys,
In my next post I will include pictures and also advices for how to add a review which looks professional

Until then
Good Bye

This seems kind of wierd but I am going to start a review of the book "The Secret of Nagas" by Amish .

It took almost 5 days for me to read this book.
The book is the second part of The Shiva Trilogy consisting of the three books
The Immortals of Meluha
The Secret of Nagas
The Oath of Vayuputras

It is the continuation of the journey where the Immortals of Meluha completes. The Lord knows that he had taken the wrong path by destroying the chandravamshis. As he realizes his mistake he feels very sad about it, able to do nothing to recover it.

So he seeks again in the search of Evil, which is still out there and is still a threat for the people there.

In this book, I found the Ganesh charecter very thought-provoking. He tries to gain forgiveness of the lord, even by sacrificing his own life for the Lord's happiness. This book style had a very impercieving effect. This explains questions we have when we read the first book. Even though it gives some questions about somethings in the book.

I loved this book from the heart and I came to know that this book had 30 years of research which has told by Amish  himself.

Tuesday 1 October 2013

It is a long time since my last post. Well I was busy in studying for my exams, so I couldn't come more often to this to post. Luckily today I completed them and I brought a book "By the River Piedra I sat down and wept" by Paulo Coelho

This book mainly describes a story of love between two childhood friends among whom the boy goes away from his town to find something bigger and becomes a person whom everyone believes in doing miracles.

One day he sends a letter for the girl to attend a conference in which he is going to speak. Then they both meet and he tells how much he love her. The girl then ends in a conflict whether to accept his love or not.

This book has a quality of addiction(atleast for me).Started this book in the afternoon and completed by evening.

The book has an effect of being simple and complicated at the same time. But the message is clearly delivered.

A book I felt worth reading

Saturday 28 September 2013

Today(28th September 2013), I received the books i have ordered from Amazon.in
Love @ Facebook and I too had a love story

I started reading the book by the afternoon and I almost was crying when the book came to an end

The book starts with a re-union of engineering friends who meet after 3 years after they go to their jobs after college become mature enough to discuss what their next chapter of life should be.-Marriage

They think that maybe a matrimonial site can help them. Without any idea of it, Ravindra Singh, the main lead fills his data and after a long search for a few weeks he gets an SMS from a girl named Khushi, saying that they met in the matrimonial site and she wants to talk.

Starting with that, he and she become the best of lovers and they meet one day.

Everything goes fine until the day before their engagement when Khushi meets with an accident coming home from work. She is in hospital for a few days and she leaves her last breath after a week or so.
This tragic event is so that, Ravin becomes so dull that he has no interest in any girl after that.

This story made me cry even more when I came to know that this was a real incident and the author was none other than a former student of my friend's teacher.

This book made me cry very much even i know the story from the reviews

This is about the book Chanakya's Chant
I read this book for almost ten days.

There are two types of stories in this book
One is related to Chanakya who wants to take revenge on Dhananda, the then king of Magadha because he killed his beloved father. For that he trains Chandragupta in arts and politics to make him the king of Magadha. The other one is related to Gangasagar Mishra who is a Bramhin and wants to control India. He is a mentor for Chandini Gupta. The rest of the story is very interesting but do not think over about why the Gangasagar Charecter  was installed in this book.
At the end, everything explains itself.

Coming to the review of the book:
The book starts with Chanak being murdered who was the beloved father of Chanakya or originally named as Vishnu Gupta.
First chapter went well and then the second chapter it started to go to Gangasagar Mishra who has no relationship what-so-ever with chanakya.

Reading the entire book only makes you to understand why Gangasagar was added into the book.
I am adding the reason here, if you want  to read it's your wish. But if you want to enjoy the suspense, I strongly advice against it.
Spoiler Alert!!!!!!
After making Chandragupta as the king, Chanakya returns to Suvasini to have a talk. He doesn't free her, rather he keeps her prisoner for Rakshas to arrive. The she curses chanakya which he replies by saying that she also prays for that curse should not become true.

Then she tells a sloka
Aadi Shakti, Namo namah
Sarab Shakti, Namo namah
Prithum Bhagavti, namo namah
Kundalini Mata Shakti
Mata Shakti, namo namah.

If a person chants this mantra 400 times per day for 4000 days, then he gains the knowledge of chanakya, only if he uses it to advance a woman!

This is the main cause of the story.
The script is found by Ganagasagar, and he gains knowledge of Chanakya and uses it to make Chandini Gupta, daughter of a poor man in a slum in  Uttar pradesh.
He makes Ikrambhai, a don in that slum to become his disciple and enter into politics.
Gangasagar plays all types of dirty tricks, same like which chanakya has played when he wanted Dhananada to descend the throne of Magadha to make Chandragupta as a king for Magadha.

Atlast ican say that the book is nice and i liked it very much.
Just bear until the end and you will enjoy it very happily.

This book requires patience to understand completely.
My another book review!!
I read this book in January 2013.
It's name is "The Immortals of Meluha"
The author of it Amish.

Coming to the book, this book is about a man 4000 years ago. who because of his actions is being worshiped as god. This book starts with the feeling of Shiva, who has to wage war at that time. He is fed up of being waging wars for their survival. He want his tribe to be happy and safe. Then Nandi asks him to come with him to Srinagar,  where on the first night he would be observed having a blue throat.

Then he is taken to Meluha and he become a lord to all the people there.
How does he complete his journey?
Does he discover evil?
What are the incidents he had to encounter in order to complete the journey is very interesting.
